Ghost Whisperer is an American television supernatural drama which premiered on CBS on September 23, 2005. The series follows the extraordinary life of Melinda Gordon, a married woman who opens an antique shop and has the unique ability to talk to the dead, usually helping them find peace by communicating with them to their loved ones, and finally getting them to cross over into the light.

On her wedding day with the paramedic Jim Clancy, the ghost of Sergeant Paul Adams, who was missing in action in Vietnam, comes to her, asking Melinda to contact his son Michael Adams. Michael believes Melinda is a fraud, but when his wife forces him to call the Pentagon giving the leads Melinda gave them.
Melinda sees the son of an acquaintance playing with a boy called Kenny near to a railroad crossing and she discovers that the Kenny is a ghost. With the support of her partner in their business Andrea Marino and her husband Jim, Melinda contacts Kenny's family, avoids another tragedy and resolves their issues.
A young girl is put into a psychiatric facility upon her strange behavior following her identical twin sister's death. While on a field trip in town, the girl runs away from her group and tries to hide in Melinda's shop. Melinda quickly realizes that this girl's 'abnormal' behavior is due to her sister haunting her.
A ghost helps Melinda save a woman who attempts suicide. Melinda learns that the ghost was the woman's fiancé and that he was an organ donor. The ghost refuses to crossover until he knows who received his heart and until his fiancee is taken care of.
